BEMÆRK: Ansøgningsfristen er overskredet

Two attractive positions as pharmacoepidemiologists at Copenhagen Phase IV Unit (Phase4CPH) are now open. We are seeking colleagues who enjoy working with data and find it exciting to generate clinically relevant and warranted evidence on the safety and effectiveness of drugs.

We are looking for both an experienced and a less experienced researcher!

Phase4CPH, a part of Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, is a collaboration between the Center for Clinical Research and Prevention (CCRP) and the Department of Clinical Pharmacology. In Phase4CPH, we leverage pharmacoepidemiology to perform phase IV studies based on real-world data. We have access to the large and detailed Danish health registries as well as medical records, enabling us to conduct almost real-time analyses of the most recently introduced medicine. Located at Frederiksberg Hospital, our unit currently consists of 12 dedicated and highly motivated researchers from various academic backgrounds including epidemiology, public health, statistics, medicine, biology and pharmacy. We work closely with our in-house data scientists and conduct studies in cooperation with health authorities and the pharmaceutical industry, though we also prioritize researcher-initiated projects. The projects taken on by Phase4CPH vary in size and complexity, and you must be able to work independently as well as in close collaboration with other team members. We have peak work periods in connection with deadlines, but, in general, we are a workplace with a flexible organization of tasks.

Your tasks will include

  • Analysis and data management for various research projects, mainly registry-based studies
  • Collaborating on writing and publishing scientific articles with colleagues and external partners
  • Writing and submitting reports to the authorities
  • Training and guidance of colleagues in the management, analysis and interpretation of data
  • Designing new studies, writing protocols and applying for data access
You will also have opportunities to teach, present our research, supervise student projects and pursue academic development by participating in study groups, courses and conferences.

Qualifications

For the less experienced researcher, we are looking for a colleague who has:

  • A master's degree in medicine, pharmaceutics, economics, statistics or equivalent
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Some experience with scientific writing
  • Some experience with data handling and programming
  • Some experience in statistical methods in health science issues
  • High motivation to develop new skills
For the experienced researcher, we prioritize:

  • Research experience equivalent to a PhD degree
  • Experience in writing scientific articles
  • Knowledge of (pharmaco)epidemiological methods
  • Knowledge of clinical pharmacology
  • An interest in participating in strategic considerations with external partners
  • Experience in working with Danish (and other Nordic) healthcare registries
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development and/or regulatory affairs
  • Advanced programming skills; primarily in SAS, but other code languages are relevant too
