BGI Europe A/S is a subsidiary of BGI Genomics, which is the world's leading provider of genomic sequencing and proteomic services. BGI Europe was founded in 2010, the business is mainly focused on the EU market. It offers services in Exome Sequencing, Clinical Exome Sequencing, Transcriptome Sequencing, RNA Sequencing, and NGS laboratory support. Currently, we have a team of 22 people based in Denmark.

About the Job: We are currently seeking 1 new Laboratory Support Specialist to become part of the team that works in our lab.

The job content includes:

Supply Chain and Warehouse

  1. Responsible for contacting and communicating with suppliers, including inquiry, annual equipment calibration and fault repair, and material arrival;
  2. Responsible for communicating with headquarter procurement and supply chain to ensure the normal operation of laboratory projects;
  3. Responsible for laboratory material reporting, procurement follow-up and daily warehouse management (material storage, storage and inventory);
  4. Responsible for following up the inspection of newly arrived materials and sorting out the quality inspection reports of materials;
  5. Responsible for supplier annual review;
  6. Responsible for the cost accounting and update of Three Standards of laboratory products;
  7. Responsible for the monthly settlement and budget for the new year

Onsite and logistics

  1. Responsible for the receipt of newly purchased equipment, the establishment of equipment files, the establishment and maintenance of equipment ledgers;
  2. Responsible for regular equipment maintenance arrangements and collection of maintenance records;
  3. Responsible for laboratory logistics: including package packaging, mailing, tracking and receiving;
  4. Responsible for assisting the laboratory to complete daily work (such as garbage disposal);
  5. Communicate with the suppliers when necessary to ensure the normal operation of the laboratory (such as changing light bulbs, repairing air conditioners, etc.)
  6. Supervise and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the laboratory and warehouse site
  7. Responsible for the maintenance and update of relevant documents and records of the Support Department, and regularly file them to the Quality Department;

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree or above, chemistry, biology or related professional background is preferred;
  2. Work experience in ISO 15189, ISO 17025 or other quality management systems is preferred;
  3. Good communication skills in English;
  4. Able to adapt to an independent working environment and have good teamwork skills.
